Your WeDo best buddy is always happy to see you! When you wave to it or shake its hand (your choice), it responds with enthusiasm. Your buddy should use a WeDo sensor to detect your wave or handshake. How the buddy responds is up to you—you can use motors, sounds, background pictures, craft materials—whatever you wish. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Rules: Create a best buddy that responds to your wave or handshake. You can only use the sensors and motors from the WeDo kit. However, you are welcome to use multiple WeDo kits, additional LEGO pieces, and non-LEGO materials. Tips for using WeDo motors can be found here: Design for Motion. bestbuddy challange – YouTube Anika’s submission for the Best Buddy challenge is named Popcorn. We wanted to make a elbow joint and a shoulder joint to make a nice human like wave using only one motor, but we only had time to make a shoulder joint.
